The Election Committee identified a voter-eligibility shortfall and extended the deadline to clear outstanding dues.
Following a meticulous review of the Bangladesh Professional Golf Association (BPGA) voter list, the Election Committee has identified a critical compliance issue. Currently, only nine (9) members qualify to participate in the upcoming election, whereas the Executive Committee (EC) requires fifteen (15) elected members.
This deficit is primarily due to outstanding membership fees, which directly violates the BPGA Constitutional Clause 15.(b). Furthermore, pursuant to Clause 15.(c) of the Constitution, certain current EC members are disqualified from running due to non-attendance at regular EC meetings.
To ensure a democratic and fully constitutional election, the Election Committee has decided to call an immediate vote/poll on the following resolution: extension of the deadline to 07 June 2026 for members to clear all outstanding dues and become eligible to collect nomination papers.
